about us

The “Tvaiks” collective is composed of a young team of food professionals and enthusiast’s whose focus is on creating comforting, honest and seasonal food for any occasion. Our café is located inside the “Balta Pirts” Sauna complex and the relaxed and soothing nature of this atmosphere comes across in both our food and the way we treat our customers.

As an integral part of everyday work has become our little brother "SprīdEats", who makes it easier to get to you, wherever it might be, providing a full service and high quality. SprīdEats is Latvia's first full service "food truck". We have converted a 1973 Airstream Safari trailer into a fully equipped, self-sufficient, mobile kitchen that will be dishing out seasonally inspired comfort food. We offer a tailor made food on the go menu at sport events, concerts and festivals all around Latvia. Food service for film crews on the set, corporate events and private party catering are only a few of the vast possibilities that we offer, as well as the local market inspired take away meals.

"Food filled with creativity and soul. One of the best hidden top spots in Riga nowadays with food based on local, market fresh and seasonal products, offering traditional meals with extra spark of love and inspiration. And more than reasonably priced too!"

"Tvaiks" is not on your daily rout. For "Tvaiks" you have to prepare yourself, plan the journey and reach out for it. But "Tvaiks" is not for everyone, it's for those reach it I can only say, that after my first visit at "Tvaiks", it's sad that I hadn't discovered it and when they do, they get generously rewarded. earlier. It is worth it, it really is.

"...Here you have an oriental mood set corner for drinking tea, a big round table with "a history", self renovated antique chairs, grey walls and ascetic lamps. But most importantly - tasty, simple and healthy food for a reasonable price.. Small cafe, small team and personal approach towards every client."
Magazine "Kas Jauns"
" Tvaiks – you can enjoy expertly created dishes in an informal environment for a surprisingly affordable price."
